What it does
Munu runs on macOS 15 or newer, on Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or newer). Intel Macs are not supported yet, and About This Mac tells you which chip you have.
On a Mac it can work with the apps you already use. It can read your newest unread mail and your calendar, open a draft in Mail for you to send yourself, control Spotify, and type into the app you name after checking that the app really is in front.
It never sends mail or messages by itself. Before it presses Return in Messages, Mail, Slack or another chat app, it tells you what it is about to do and waits until you say “Munu confirm”.

Reads the sender, subject, date and first lines of your newest unread emails.

Reads the Calendar app.
Munu, draft an email to Sam about Friday
Opens a draft in Mail for you to read and send.

Brings Notes to the front and types it.

Lists the installed apps, and opens any of them by name.
Install it on a Mac
- Download the Mac file. It is for Apple silicon (M1 or newer).
- Open it and drag Munu onto Applications.
- Open Munu from Applications. If macOS says it could not verify Munu, click Done, open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
- Follow the setup window. It asks for each permission on one page, with one line on why.
Good to know
- It needs a Mac with Apple silicon. Intel Macs are not supported yet.
- It does not click by itself and it does not send mail or messages.
- It needs the internet, and it speaks English only.

Does Munu work on Intel Macs?
- Not yet. Munu 1.0 is built for Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) on macOS 15 or newer.
Which permissions does Munu ask for on a Mac?
- Microphone, Camera, Accessibility, Screen Recording, and Automation for Mail and for Calendar. Each one shows a line on why, and you can skip any of them and allow it later in Settings.
Can Munu send messages from my Mac?
- No. It can type into an app you name, but a new line or Return in a chat or mail app waits for you to say “Munu confirm”, and it never sends mail itself.
